  • 2020 BRAIN Initiative Investigators Joint Workshop on Brain Research – BRAIN-CARTA-HBP, Online, June 2, 2020
    The Building Reliable Advances and Innovation in Neurotechnology (BRAIN) Center, the Center for Accelerated Real Time Analytics (CARTA), and EU’s Human Brain Project (HBP) conducted a workshop that provided researchers an opportunity for transatlantic convergent research collaboration between the United States and the European Union within the broader International Brain Initiative, as well as an opportunity for inter-IUCRC collaborations. This workshop was attended by over 50 researchers and industry collaborators. Research thrusts that were discussed in the workshop included:
    THRUST 1: Medical Informatics Platform (MIP), including data sharing, cybersecurity and cloud computing
    THRUST 2: Computational Modeling and Human Brain Simulation
    THRUST 3 Closed-loop AI-NeuroRobotics
    THRUST 4: Biomarkers (e.g. Coronavirus, etc.)
